  • Brian Shotto

    SVP, Specialty Services

    Brian Shotto is an expert in the healthcare supply chain field with over 23 years of experience working across a broad range of healthcare companies such as manufacturers, pharmacy and provider channels and supply chain service providers.  Brian has deep experience with inbound and outbound flow of goods and is an expert in getting products safely and effectively to the site of care with a watchful eye to cost-effectiveness. Brian’s background is global and he is familiar with the nuances of most major markets.


    Brian is considered one of the industry’s most recognized and respected thought leaders in global distribution operations, direct and third-party logistics and healthcare supply chain management.  As SVP, Brian works closely with Owens & Minor clients to maintain a sharp focus on distribution, logistics, product security, order-to-cash, contract-to-cash and GMP/GDP compliance.  


     Prior to joining Owens & Minor, Brian was a Senior Principal Consultant with Blue Fin Group a premier management and technology consulting firm focused solely on healthcare commerce.   Prior to Blue Fin Group, Brian was VP Global Distribution Strategy for United Parcel Service (UPS) and VP of Supply Chain for the American Red Cross and VP of Healthcare Operations for Federal Express.


    Brian’s mission is to passionately collaborate with healthcare clients to optimize their potential in the positioning, sale, flow and consumption of product-based therapies.


    He earned a B.A. in Economics from the Virginia Military Institute in Lexington, VA.

  • Kevin McPherson

    VP, OM HealthCare Logistics

    Kevin joined O&M in 2011 to serve as the Operating VP for O&M’s Healthcare Logistics business unit. Kevin brings to O&M 25-years of practical supply management experience having served in executive leadership positions in operations, sales, and marketing.


    Kevin passionately promotes the extensive opportunities available to all manufacturers in the healthcare industry to reap true qualitative and financial value via analysis of their current networks, and with the application of critical strategic thinking, and advanced modeling tools combined with operational discipline, firms can effectively navigate through the continual financial and regulatory pressures facing the industry.


    Prior to coming to O&M Kevin most recently served as the Global Marketing Director at UPS Healthcare Logistics, after having served in various leadership roles in Operations and Sales at UPS. Prior to UPS, Kevin served as the National Operations Manager, and later EVP & General Manager of the contract logistics division of Butler Schein Animal Health.


    Kevin attended Cornell University, where he earned a Bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences in 1985.

  • Tim Kiefer

    Director, Financial Operations and Program Management

    Tim manages the OM HCL business implementation team that oversees client conversions and continuous improvement. 

    With Owens & Minor since 1994, Tim offers a valuable blend of financial and operational knowledge and expertise. He has been involved in business integration, cost management, sales & marketing and business process redesign.  He has worked with sales and operations management on optimizing the supply chain for strategic customers, and was program manager for several years for the company’s activity-based pricing program.  He designed pricing for hundreds of agreements with national and regional GPOs, IDNs and individual medical facilities. 

    Formerly a CPA, Tim worked for 4 years at KPMG on various engagements with manufacturers, financial service institutions, and government agencies. 

    He holds a B.S. in Business Administration, with a concentration in accounting, from Notre Dame University.

  • Vicky Lyle

    Director, Information Technology

    With her combined technical knowledge and leadership experience, Vicky oversees all aspects of OM HCL’s state-of-the-art 3PL application suite, powered by CDC Ross Enterprise’s ERP and RedPrairie’s WMS.  Her primary role is to leverage technology to streamline day-to-day operational processes and to facilitate seamless on-boarding of new customers.

    In her 20-year career with Owens & Minor, Vicky has contributed her business and technical expertise across all facets of the supply chain including distribution, warehousing, IT, and master file management.  Recently, she led a cross-functional integration team during the company’s acquisition and conversion of McKesson Acute Care that required converting more than $1 billion in business in six months.  She has lead several quick-turnaround special projects where she was responsible for all systems development and strategic planning for the core systems that run Owens & Minor. 

    Vicky holds a B.A. in Business Administration from Averett University, Magna Cum Laude.  She also is an active member of the GHX Product Council. 

  • Blake O. Hackler

    Director, Operations

    Director, Operations, OM HealthCare Logistics since September, 2011.  Blake is part of the OM HCL Management Team and has responsibility for the Redlands Logistics Center (RLC) and Louisville Logistics Center (LLC).


    Blake was previously a Director, Operations for Exel Inc. where he held various positions over his 20 years of 3PL experience.  Driving strategic initiatives, Blake was responsible for implementing new technology and has a track record of supporting broad client requirements while developing high performing teams with a focus on organizational development.

  • Bryan Barnard

    GM, Operations

    Bryan Barnard joined OM HCL in February of 2011 as the General Manager in Louisville, Kentucky.


    Bryan brings over 18 years of multi-functional experience in Operations and Leadership. Bryan’s main focus has been on Financial Administration, Warehouse Operations, Transportation and Logistics Operations and Quality Assurance Operations.


    Prior to joining the OM HCL team, Bryan held several executive level positions with Kroger Company Supply Chains, Clark Products and Royal Consumer Products which required the execution of management leadership to support a multitude of client requirements. Bryan has taken many initiatives to enhance quality and client relationships which have directly contributed to OM HCL’s recent growth and success. Bryan’s decisiveness, loyalty, creative problem solving, customer focus and strong sense of ownership make him an asset to the OM HCL community.

     

  • Efrem Hawkins

    GM, Operations

    Efrem has joined OM HCL to oversee the Redlands Logistic Center in Redlands, CA.

    Efrem brings over 25 years of experience in Operations and 3PL Supply Chain Management focusing on Organizational Development, Leadership, Process Management and WMS integration.

    Prior to joining Owens & Minor, Efrem has held several executive level positions with Global Supply Chain Organizations overseeing their warehousing, transportation, cross-docking, and ocean services.  Efrem has managed over 6 million square feet of distribution space across the US for clients such as Philip Morris, P&G, Samsung, Kimberly Clark, Bristol-Myers Squibb, Alberto Culver, Sara Lee, Wal-Mart, Target, Lee & Fung and Tyco Healthcare.  Efrem is a former military officer and served as an Operations/Intelligence Officer as well as a Medical Evacuation Search and Rescue Pilot. 

    Efrem has a BA degree in Health from the University of Kentucky, a MA degree in Human Resources Development from Webster University and is active in CSCMP and APICS.

  • Jeff White

    Director, Financial & Customer Service

    Jeff is the Director, Financial and Customer Services for OM HealthCare Logistics at the Owens & Minor Home office in Richmond, Virginia.  He is responsible for Customer Service, Transportation Services, and Accounts Receivable.  Additionally, Jeff is leading the Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) services offered to manufacturers to efficiently support order-to-cash processes including chargebacks and rebates.

    During his career of over 14 years at O&M, he has also managed the Contracts, Rebate and Accounts Payable teams.  He led the pricing conversions for acquisitions and significant new customer wins.  Prior to joining O&M, Jeff held accounting and information technology management positions at Whitby Pharmaceuticals as well as public accounting experience with Coopers & Lybrand. 

     

    Jeff has a Bachelor of Business Administration degree with a concentration in Accounting from the College of William & Mary and an MBA from Virginia Commonwealth University.

  • Dwayne Calek

    Director, Regulatory Compliance

    Dwayne has joined OM HCL to oversee all Regulatory activities (including Quality, Compliance, and Validation).  Dwayne will be located in the Louisville facility.

    Dwayne brings over 25 years of experience in the Medical Device and Pharmaceutical Industry in Quality, Regulatory Affairs, and Regulatory Compliance.  Dwayne has led global efforts in Regulatory Compliance, Process and Software Validation, Six Sigma, Sterilization Sciences, and filing and registration.  Dwayne brings his vast knowledge of regulations (FDA – QSR and cGMPs, ISO 9000:9001, ISO 13485, MDD, AAMI and USP) to assure that all regulations are held to the highest degree by OM HCL. 

    Dwayne has a M.S. in Quality Assurance and Regulatory Affairs from Temple University, School of Pharmacy, M.B.A. from Moravian College (Bethlehem, PA), and a B.S. in Chemistry from Northwest Missouri State University.
