OM HealthCare Logistics (OM HCL), a business unit of Owens & Minor providing third party logistics and business process outsourcing solutions exclusively to healthcare manufacturers, has leased a new distribution center in Redlands, CA in response to continued growth and client demand.
OM HCL currently operates out of its centralized flagship distribution center in Louisville, KY, which was established in November 2009.
The new facility will be located in Redlands, CA and is scheduled to start shipping products in mid-November 2010. OM HCL’s newest distribution center will add 275,000 square feet to its existing footprint, with an option for a 1.3 million square foot expansion. Strategically located in a foreign trade zone, the new facility will provide warehousing, distribution, inventory management services and fulfillment functions.
The new building will be a state-of-the-art distribution center utilizing the latest in software technologies, including a warehouse management system, voice pick, RF and task optimization through system directed workflow.
